The coat of arms

Our coat of arms has a very deep meaning to it, deeper than any other fraternity coat of arms

The Crest

The crest is our crescent and cross at top of the crown. It symbolizes the house of which the warrior belongs to

The Helmet

The helmet is that of a esquire to a knight (signifying the youthful spirit of the fraternity). Esquire also means gentlemen which suggests the quality of good conduct within the fraternity. The crown on top of the helmet signifies sacrifice and suggests nobility of character.

The Shield

When knights would ride back from battle they would hang their helmets on top of their shields and place those on the wall. The shield has four divided squares (ordinaries) with the lamp, balance, book, and clasped hands each representing their own meaning. The swords crossing behind the shield represents the defenders of the principals (called Supporters)

The collar

The collar is located around the shield, with the inscription "naught without labor" with the badge of their noble house placed at the bottom to signify the warriors membership to the fraternity.

The cloak

The cloak is tattered and cut around the knights helmet and shield to signify the hand to hand combat in the field of battle.

The motto

The one on top closer relating to the crescent and cross "Crescent in the Cross". The one on the bottom reading "Everyman a man".

The escheon

This is the shield within the larger shield with the lion and the white rose. The lion is also clutching two olive branches suggesting the merger between the two great fraternities.
