Jean Clouet 1525-1530 AD tempera and oil on panel Louvre,Paris, France *depicts a Prince gracefully covered in silks and gold, and yet he appears to be suave and confident. *despite the precise detail, the portrait also shows an elegantly formalized quality. as seen in his neck. the disproportion between the small head and to his broad body tells the viewer how formalized the nature of this painting is.
