There are three main types of mining (long wall mining, shaft mining and pillar mining) they are all dangerous for humans.


Two examples of Mining are coal and oil shale.


Coal mining is dangerous and many have died in the mines.

farming impacts the land in a variety of negative ways but it can be done sustainably.

it occurs when plants are exposed to intensive grazing for extended periods of time, or without sufficient recovery periods.

 

when there are too many herbivores for a given area

 

examples of overgrazing is "not enough food" and "no food"

loss of forests due to building cities and results in “heat islands”

Involves the management and modification of natural environment or wilderness into built environment such as settlements and semi-natural habitats such as arable fields, pastures, and managed woods.


All land serves a purpose, it may filter water, hold ground water or supply nutrients for a forest.


examples of land use is deforestation and agriculture

examples of non-renewable sources are oil and coal

a source that is naterally produced and can be used again


naturally replenishes itself over time


examples of a renewable source is solar and wind energy


sent. these sources could replace the non-renewable energy

The composting or other reuse of biodegradable waste.

 

one that can be processed and made into a new product


example of recyclable energy is plastic and paper


sent. recyclable energy reuses the non-renewable sources to make new products.
