Meridian: Central

Muscle: Supraspinatus

Orgin: Top inner edge of the shoulder blade on the upper back.

Insertion: Top of the Humerus (arm bone), where arm meets shoulder.

Function: Assist deltods, initiating movement of arm away from the body.  Helps hold the arm in the shoulder socket.

Spinal Reflex: C1-C2

Neurolymphatic: Front: shoulder ceases [Raglan Seleeves] Back: Base of skull

Neurovascular: Frontal Eminences between eyebrows and hairline, also Anterior Fontanel.

Meridian: YIN - From the center of the pubic bone, up the center of the body under the chin, to just below the lower lip.

Muscle: Teres Major

Orgin: Bottom inside corner of the shoulder blade.

Insertion: Front of the arm just below the shoulder joint.

Function: Rotates upper arm inwards, pulls the arm toward the body and towards the back.

Spinal Reflex: T2

Neurolymphatic: Front: Between 2nd and 3rd ribs, 2-3 inches to each side of the Sternum.  Back: Between T2 and T3, 1" to each side of the spine.

Neurovascular: On the temple at the natural hairline, slightly above and to the front of the ear.

Meridian: YANG From the tailbone, up the spine, over the top of the head, down the face to just above the middle of the to lip.

Meridian: Stomach    

Muscle: Pectorallis Major Clavicular

Orgin: Middle to end of the collerbone at the base of the throat.

Insertion: The groove between the musces at the front of the upper arm, just below the shoulder.

Function: This chest muscle helps bend and turn the arm at the shoulder.  Also elevates and opens the chest.

Spinal Reflex: T5-T6

Neurolymphatic: Front: on the left side between the 5th and 6th ribs under the breast.  Back: Halfway down the shoulder blade between T5 - T6, 1" each side of spine.

Neurovascular: Frontal Eminence, usually a bulge on the forehead between the eyebrows and the hairline.

Meridian: YANG Bilateral - below eye, down jaw, around cheek to Frontal Eminences, over eye, down jaw to collarbone, down chest and abs, across front of hips, down outside fron leg to end of 2nd toe.

Muscle: Latissims Dorsi

Orgin: Along spine from T6 between the lower part of the shoulder blades, down to the level of the hips; the top of the hip bone at the back.

Insertion: Inside front of the arm just below the shoulder.

Function: Holds shoulder down, helps keep back straight. Involved in all movements of arm across front body.

Neurolymphatic: Front: Left side between 7th and 8th rib near the margin (where they join)

Neurovascular: On the parietal bone, above and just behind the ear.

Meridian: YIN Bilateral - outside of big toe, up leg and body to arm crease and down side seam to 9th rib.

Muscle: Subscapularis

Orgin: Underside of the shoulder blade.

Insertion: Top front of the upper arm.

Function: Allows the shoulder blade to glide over the rib cage and turn the arm, drawing the arm in when it is raised above the shoulder.

Spinal Reflex: T2

Neurolymphatic: Front: Between 2nd and 3rd ribs beside the sternum. Back: Between T2 and T3, 1" to each side of spine.

Neurovascular: Anterior Fontanel [baby's soft spot on tope of head]

Meridian: YIN - Bilateral - from armpit down inside of arm to thumb side of little fingernail.

Meridian: Small Intestine

Muscle: Quadricepes

Orgin: Upper portion of the thigh bone and the hip bone.

Insertion: On the shinbone just below the knee cap.

Function: Straightens the leg and flexes the thigh.

Neurolymphatic: Front: Along the rib margin (bottom)

Neurovascular: Parietal Eminence, usually a ridge between the ear and the top of the head.

Meridian: YANG Bilateral - from outside end of the little finger up outside of arm, 1/2 way down shoulder blades, up to neck, across cheek toward nose and end in front of ear.

Muscle: Peroneus

Orgin: Outer side of the lower leg (top of fibula).

Insertion: Outside and bottom of foot.

Function: Flexes the side of the foot upward and out.  Assoicated with maintaining the foot and ankle balance.

Spinal Reflex: T12

Neurolymphatic: Front: 2" to side of navel; upper edges of pubic bone. Back: Prominent knobs on the hip bones at L5 level.

Neurovascular: Frontal Eminence, usually a buldge between eyebrows and hairline and the Glabella, flat area closer to center and just above eyebrows.

Meridian: YANG Bilateral - inside cornor of eye, over head, down back and out along crease of buttocks, back to shoulder level, outside of above line, past buttocks, down back of leg to end of little toe.

Muscle: Psoas

Orgin: Along front of spine from T12 (last rib), and all the Lumbar Vertebrae.

Insertion: Inside of the upper part of the thighbone, level with the pubic bone.

Function: Flexes the hips and keeps the lumbar curve in the spine.  (sitting up, kicking to side, sidestepping)

Spinal Reflex: T12-L1

Neurolymphatic: Front: 1" above and beside the navel.  Back: Between T12-L1, just below level of last rib, 1" each side of spine.

Neurovascular: Occiptal Protuberance, prominent bump on the back of the head near base of skull.

Meridian: YIN Bilateral - from ball of foot, around ankle, up inside of leg past knee, past the edge of pubic bone, up Abs and chest to inside end of collarbone.

Muscle: Gluteus Medius

Orgin: Outer surface of the hip bone.

Insertion: Top of the side of the thigh-bone.

Function: Pulls the thigh out and rotates the leg.

Neurolymphatic: Front: Upper edge of pubic bone.  Back: prominent knob on hip bones at level of L5

Neurovascular: Parietal Eminence, usually a ridge between ear and top of head - widest part of the head.

Meridian: YIN Bilateral - just outside of nipple up to shoulder crease, down middle of inside of arm to end of thumb side of middle finger.

Muscle: Teres Minor

Orgin: Lower third of the shoulder blade at the edge closest to the spine.  

Insertion: Top of the back of the upper arm.

Function: Rotates the arm and forearm.

Spinal Reflex: T2

Neurolymphatic: Front: Between 2 and 3rd ribs beside sternum.  Back: Between T2-T3, 1" to side of spine.

Neurovascular: On temple at the hairline, slightly above and front of ear.  At same time 3 fingers in a triangle in the depression just above the sternum.

Meridian: YANG bilateral - from end of ring finger up back of hand and arm, across shoulder and around back of ear ending at eyebrow.

Meridian: Gallbladder

Muscle: Anterior Deltoid

Orgin: The third of the collarbone nearest the shoulder.

Insertion: Side of the arm about a third of the way down from the top.

Function: Helps flex the shoulder with the elbow bent (combing the hair).

Spinal Reflex: T4

Neurolymphatic: Front: Between 3rd-4th ribs and 4th-5th rib on each side of breastbone.  Back: between T3-T4 and T4-T5, 1" to side of spine.

Neurovascular: Anterior Fontanel, soft spot on top of baby's head.

Meridian: YANF Bilateral - outside corner of eyes, back to ear, up and loop forward around forehead, back behind ear, up to Frontal Eminences, down behind ear, behind shoulder behind arm, down side of chest, hip and leg to end of 4th toe.

Muscle: Pectoralis Major Sternal

Orgin: Along the sternum (breastbone).

Insertion: The groove between the muscles at the front of the upper arm.  

Function: Moves the arm in, turning and drawing it forward. 

Definition

Spinal Reflex: T5

Neurolymphatic: Front: on right, between 5th and 6th rib whole area.  Back: Between T5-T6, 1" to side of spine.

Neurovascular: On natural hairline about 1 1/2" to each side of the midline.

Meridian: YIN Bilateral - inside of big toe, up inside of leg to hip, backward on hip up around waist and foward along rib cage halfway to sternum.

Muscle: Anterior Serratus

Orgin: Outer surface of upper 9 ribs on the side of the chest.

Insertion: Inner surface of the shoulder blades, along the edge nearest the spine.

Function: Draws the shoulder blade forward and raises the ribs.

Definition

Spinal Reflex: T3-T4

Neurolymphatic: Front: Between 3rd-4th and 4th-5th ribs beside breastbone.  Back: Between T3-T4 and T4-T5, 1" to the side of the spine.

Neurovascular: Anterior Fontanel, the baby's soft spot on top of the head.

Meridian: YIN Bilateral - from flesh space below shoulder and above rib cage, down the inside of the front of the arm to the end of the thumb.

Muscle: Fascia Lata

Orgin: Outer edger of ht hip bone, toward the front.

Insertion: Just below the knee on the outside of the leg.

Function: Helps bend the thigh, draws it away from the body sideways and keeps it turned in.

Definition

Spinal Reflex: L2

Neurolymphatic: Front: Top of thigh bone to below kneecap, along whole outside of leg, watch tender spots.  Back: Fleshy triangle between L2-L4 and the highest part of the hipbones.

Neurovascular: Parietal Eminence, usually a ridge between the ear and the top of the head - widest part of the head.

Meridian: YANG Bilateral -  from thumb side of index finger up hand and outside of back of arm across shoulder to nose.
