Definition
Unconditioned stimulus (food), causes salivation (unconditioned response) paired with bell (neutral stimulus). Neutral stimulus can come to elicit same response as unconditioned stimulus.

Emphasizes integrative nature of perception and thought saying the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. A configuration of a stimulus is its essence. The essence lies in the configuration which is lost when subparts are analyzed.

An expectancy or belief about how competently one will be able to enact a behavior. Self-Efficacy is most importantly influenced by our own personal experiences. Then vicarious experience, verbal persuasion and emotion.
Vicarious- People don't mindlessly copy but they decide consciously whether to preform the behavior.

Trait - Allport. Generalized neuropsychic structure or core tendency that underlies behavior across time and situations.
Type- people are divided into categories as opposed to continuums.
State- Temporary behaviors or feelings that depend on persons situations or motives at a particular time.
