Simmons murdered someone, and when he was guilty, they gave him the death penalty, but he appealed, and the court agreed that it's unconstitutional to impose capital punishment for crimes committed while under the age of 18.

Katz exchanged illegal info via payphone, and the FBI found out, but he argued that they got this info without a warrant, therefore it wasn't to be used as evidence. Court agreed.
