Origin: Ulnar Head- coronoid process
Humeral Head- Medial epicondyle via common flexor tendon.
Insertion: Middle of convexity of lateral surface of radius
Action: Pronation ( when more speed and power is needed) and flexion of forearm at elbow
Inervation: Median n. (C6, C7)

Origin: Medial epicondyle via common flexor tendon.
Insertion: Base of 2nd metacarpal.
Action: Flexion and radial deviation of the hand ( when acting alone); forearm flexion.

Origin: Humeral head- Medial epicondyle via common flexor tendon.
Ulnar head- Olecranon and post. border via aponeurosis.
Insertion: Pisiform, hook of hamate and 5th metacarpal.
Action: Flexion and ulnar deviation of the hand (when acting alone); forearm flexion.
Inervation: Ulnar n. (C7, C8).

Definition
Origin: Humeral head- Med. epicondyle via common flexor tendon and coronoid process.
Radial head- Superior 1/2 ant. border.
Insertion: Shafts of middle phalanges of medial 4 digits via split tendon.
Action: Flexion of PIPs; strong flexion of MCPs.
Inervation: Median n. (C7, C8, T1)
Blood Supply: Ulnar and radial arteries. |
