Lagoon

Lagoon's have several different

sediments because of its location

it has some a lot of different sands

Tidal Flats

these are created by tides

coming in and out over a long

period of time it has a lot of different

times of sand

Reefs

these are created when coral consumes

all the minerals and created under the shore slope

The Continental Shelf

under the sea shore to the the beach

which was created with a slope from the beach to the sea floor

when the shelf dips down

and a lot of nutrients and sediments

are on the floor

Abyssal Plain

the last part of the Continental slope

and shelf it has a lot of sediments

on the floor

Fluvial Environment- an environment which is dominated by river processes.

Both coarse and fine, very thick, channel-floor, bar, channel-top, and bar-top sediments are found here.

Lacustrine Environment- an environment which is dominated by lake processes.

Fine grained sediments are found here so it havs relatively low strength and relatively high settlement characteristics; trafficability is poor.

Swamps- a lowland region saturated with water.

Organic sediments that are poor in oxygen and rich in nitrate are found here.

Deltas- a landform that is created at the mouth of a river where that river flows into an another body of water.

Coarsest (usually sandiest) marine sediments are found.

Beach- a landform along the shoreline of a body of water.

Sandy sediments are found here.
