baist- a very wide stitch used to hold items together for a short time, not meant to be used in production, easy to take out, can be long or short but usually long

running/whip stitch- used to attach items together, starts from the left, goes through once side of the fabric then crosses about 1/4" to the left and you make just a tiny prick so that it doesn't show through the other side

Cross Stitch- crosshatch by going back and forth with the stitching, holds things together well
