phases of schizophrenia
Definition
  • prodromal- decline in functioning that precedes the first psychotic episode (socially withdrawn, irritable)
  • psychotic- perceptual disturbances, delusions, disordered thought process/content
  • residual- between episodes of psychosis
    • flat affect
    • social withdrawal
    • odd thinking/behavior (negative symptoms)
