insomniacs that got the placebo thinking they wouodn't be able to sleep fell asleep 12 minutes faster than the other group. problem with that study: you can't really apply in the field because of deception...you're deceiving patients, so that's why it hasn't been duplicated. its not nice to make someone think they're symptoms will get worst.
