CA - Certified Acupuncturist
Definition
Usually required for thoer than an MD or DO. Provider must have this certification to provide acupuncture treatments.

Definition

An optometrist. Not licensed to perform surgery. Most commonly performs eye refractions, dispenses glasses and contacts.

Licensed to perform occupations therapy. Occupational therapy is retraining the muscles and nerves, usually in the hands and arms, necessary for the performance of routine daily movements (i.e. Leaning to feed oneself, brush hair, and other activities of daily living.

Definition
Physician Assistants are healthcare professionals licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision. PA responsibilities include conducting physician exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, couseling on preventive health care, assisting in surgery, and writing prescriptions. PA-C stands for Physician Assistant - Certified; the person that holds the title has take a national certification exam.
