Somatrem (Protropin)

o   Monitor alkaline phosphatase closely in patients with adult growth hormone deficiency.

Desmopressin

o   Hemophilia: Monitor plasma factor VIII coagulant, factor VIII antigen, and ristocetin cofactor. May also assess activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) for hemophilia A and skin bleeding time for von Willebrand's disease.

Vasopressin (Pitressin)

o   Monitor serum electrolyte concentrations periodically during therapy.

Propylthiouracil (PTU)

o   May cause increased AST, ALT, LDH, alkaline phosphatase, serum bilirubin, and prothrombin time.

Levothyroxine (Synthroid)

o   Monitor blood and urine glucose in diabetic patients. Insulin or oral hypoglycemic dose may need to be increased.
