in organophosphate poising (nerve gas) helps hydrolize bond btw phosphate and serine on ACHE if given before "aging period"-use in first minutes to hrs. Use: post treatment of organophosphate positing.

for seriously affected troops, add atrophine Ach inhibitor. to get rid of voiding, salivating, discomfort. life saving if the person is haveing bronchospasms. Side effects: tachycardia, dry mouth, urinary retnetion, CNS: Sedation!. ALSO: one of the ingredients of Angels trumpet.

anaphylaxis for organophosphate poisining. oral, long t1/2. takes up all the space on the receptors. similiar side effects to nerve gas. works bc nerve gas has a v short half life. does not enter CNS. Also: treatment of myesthenia gravis.

= ephedrine. Taken to increase energy and lose weight without perscription. a and b agonist. effects: collapsed. increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, irregular heart beats, increased temperature. (Side effects: arrythmias, hyperthermia (b3 fat and also decreased skin profusion). can mimic pheochromocytoma.
