take occasionally for anxiety episode due to kava containing products associated with liver related injuries

if systolic bp drops below 20 mm hg-withhold drug and contact doctor

monitor mental status and anxiety level

parenteral admin to older, debillitated or with limited pulmonary reserve requires extreme care as pt may experience apnea or cardiac arrest
