  • Exposition: begins with Moshe the Beadle giving him his religous teaching 
  • Rising Action: his faith was shaken when Moshe the Beadle was deported. When he was deported his train was overtaken by Nazis and his companions were mutilated.
  • Moshe returns and warns them but most don't believe him.
  • Climax: You see his faith dwinding away more when they arrive at Aushwitz. Him and his father are separated from the rest of family. 
  • It was very bad conditions on the train.

  • There are selections, they are forced to watch other prisoners be hung. 
  • Falling Action: Eliezer got a foot inury. While he was in the infirmary the Nazis decide to evacuate the camp because the Russians were on the verge of liberating Buna. 
  • Forced to march in middle of the night. Many died from harsh weather and abuse. 
  • 12 arrive at Buchenwald, his father dies of dysentary and physical abuse
  • Resolution: Eliezer survives his faith gone.
