-The trigeminal nerve conveys the pain to its nucleus in the brain stem

What are the properties of migraines, cluster headaches, and tension headaches?
Definition
-Migraines are usually *unilateral, *pulsating, *recurrent, often *familial (2/3), and more common in *women

-Cluster headaches are also always *unilateral, *non-throbbing, closely spaced attacks often at night

-Tension headaches are just normal headaches; *non-pulsating, usually *bilateral, often with sustained muscular contraction

-Cluster are the most intense
