Dorsal Vagus nucleus. SVE Striated muscles of pharynx, tongue, larynx, and levator veli palatini; striated upper 2/3 of esophagus. Ambiguous nucleus. GVA Visceral sensation from from larynx, trachea, esophagus, bronchi, heart, stomach, and intestines; Chemoreceptors: aortic arch+ sensory receptors of abdominal and thoracic viscera. Caudal nucleus solitarius - commissural nucelus. Also, dorsal motor nucleus of the vagus. SVA Taste from epiglottis and palate (rostral tractus solitarius - inferior nodose ganglia). GSA Skin back of ear; external acoustic meatus, pharynx. Trigeminal nucleus.
