ACTION: Extends the metatarsalphalangeal & interphalangeal joints of the great toe. Assists in ankle inversion of the foot and dorsiflexion of the ankle

INSERTION: Bases of the distal phalanges of 2nd through 5th digits.

ACTION: Flexes proximal and distal interphalangeal joints of digits 2 through 5 & assists in ankle planter flexion and foot inversion.
