the church was able to grow because people started using one language, greek, so it was easier to preach and understand masses.The church also grew because it was pretty peaceful at the time, there was safe roads and good harbors.Also, people liked and trusted Jesus and wanted to follow him

Constantine was a great leader , and many things he did were in favor of the church, for example.He made sundays, Christmas, and Easter catholic holidays. He made Rome into a Christian city.He built Saint Peters Basilica.Constantine also created and made the Edict of Milan.Yet,he did some bad things to. He tried to get into all church affairs.Constantine wanted to be the head of the church.

Definition
A schism is a split, or division.Eastern and western parts of the church, because of two things.The political and cultural tension was growing between them.Also, the east thought that the west was barbaric and unintelligent.Eastern called themselves Eastern Orthodox Church, and west called themselves Roman Catholic church.Eastern Orthodox followed teachings of Constantine, while Roman Catholic followed Charlemagne.Roman Catholics headquaters was based in Rome, while Eastern Orthodox was based in Constantinople.Both churchs followed its own tradition, language and liturgical customs.They both kept the same creed, moral codes, and sacraments.

Medicant means beggers, so these monks or nuns relied soley on generosity of others.One medicant order was the Fransiscans who was started by Saint Francis of Assici.Another order would be the Domincan order who was started by St.Dominic.One medicant saint was St.Clare, she founded an order of cloistered nuns who are known as the Poor Clares.She was a close friend of Saint Francis of Assici.St.Thomas of Aquianas was a great humanist and theologian who was also a medicant saint.St.Catherine of Siena who was a dominican lay person and has a doctor in the church due to her profound spiritual writings

Three types of architechture of the middle ages is Romanesque, Gothic, and Byzantine.Romanesque had circular arches,thick walls and tiny windows, with rocks on the side of the church for support.Gothic, had pointed arches, vast stain glass windows, stone roofs, flying buttresss.Byzantine churches were colorful with a dome and four columns
