Shot while standing on the street observing the protest of the 2009 Iranian election

Neda Agha-Soltan died within 2 minutes of the shooting

The killer was Abbas Kargar Javid, a member of Basif Militia

Burial

Neda Agha-Soltan was buried around June 21, 2009 She was buried at the Behesht-e Zahra cemetery in southern Tehran. Neda Agha-Soltan was denied a proper funeral by government authorities Authorities set aside empty graves for those killed during the protest

Memory

Remembrance of Neda Agha-Soltan On June 26, 2009 thousands of balloons were released with the message, "Neda you will always remain in our hearts."

Scholorship

In November of 2009, Iran's embassy in London sent a letter of protest to the Queen's College in Oxford proposing that college should establish the 'Neda Agha-Soltan Graduate Scholorship in Philosophy'.
