Cards Term Crust Definition Collection of dried serum and cellular debris (scab) Term Cyst Definition Thick-qlled, closed sac or pouch containing fluid or semisolid material Term erosion Definition wearing away or loss of epidermis. Erosions don't penetrate below the dermoepidermal junction. No scarring Term Fissure Definition Groove or crack-like sore Term macule Definition discolored (often reddened) flat lesion. Term papule Definition small (less than 1 cm in diameter), solide elevation of the skin. pimples are an example of papules. Term polyp Definition mushroom-like growth extending on a stalk from the surface of mucous membrane. Polyps are comonly found in the nose and sinuses, urinary bladder, and the uterus. Term pustule Definition small elevation of the skin containing pus. Term ulcer Definition open sore on the skin or mucous membrane Term vesicle Definition small collection of clear fluid, blister Term wheal Definition smooth, slightly elevated, edematous (swollen) area that is redder or plaer than the surrounding skin.
