  • Brush your hair (this removes dirt and spreads your hairs natural oils)
  • Wash your hair with shampoo to wash away dirt and oils
  • If you have dandruff (a condition that occurs when dead skin cells flake off the scalp) using a special shampoo can help this problem

  • Wash your eyes with clean water or eyedrops if you get something in them...DON'T RUB THEM!!!

  1. The outer ear collects sound waves (vibrations)
  2. In the middle ear, the eardrum vibrates
  3. The vibrations are transferred to the inner ear where the vibrations are sent as nerve signals to the brain

Definition
  • The semicircular canals in the ear help us keep our balance by measuring the level of fluid against tiny hairs

  • Olfactory sensors (cells for smelling) in your nose sense gas molecules dissolve into the moisture. 
  • A signal is sent to your brain to signal the smell.

It depends on your previous experience with that smell (weather or not we smelled it before).  For example, the first time you smelled a skunk, you didn't know that it was a skunk until someone told you, or you made the connection.
