Definition
a city in Russia where the ne Big 3 met after WW2 to work out who would control the postwar world. This was their best cooperation.

Main Agreements:
-Stalin agrees to join the fight against Japan
-Stalin agrees to support the UN
-Agreed that theywould control the parts of Germany that their troops occupied at the end of the war

Main Arguments
-Stalin wanted control of Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia. England and US had to give in because they were still fighting in Asia, and they didn't have enough power to fight Russia.

Definition
The Western powers decided to make a unified currency for England, France, US, and West Berlin. This enraged the USSR, andx they retaliated by closing off all the highways and routes into West Berlin, and they shut off thier power.

The US flew planes full of fuel, food, and other supplies to avoid losing West Berlin or causing a huge war.

a more destructive atomic bomb that, when exploded, marked the nuclear threat of the USSR and US

a plan made by Eisenhower that said that if the USSR attacked us, we would respond with nuclear attack at undisclosed locations

Eisenhower hoped that by being vague, he would scare the Russians into not attacking

Dangers:
The policy left the US with two choices: all out nuclear war or do nothing. The first option would probably end the world, and the second would make the US look bad.
