-This is usually on the mountain tops (north facing slopes)
-Next winter’s snowfall accumulates on top of last years snow
-Snow is compressed into ice
-This process continues until the weight of the ice becomes too heavy
-The ice slowly moves down hill

-After a glacier is formed the glacier moved down hill.
-Erosion processes such as plucking, and freez-thaw erode some of the mountain rock steepening the headwall of the corrie
-eventually the glacier makes a dip in the rock and settles there.
-after the glacier melts away water is left
-voila! a corrie is made

Water seeps into cracks in the rock and then freezes,
when water freezes it expands by 9%, putting
the rock under extreme pressure. This is repeated many times, causing the rock to shatter. This is a type of Physical Weathering.
