·         dürfen à dürfte (like the simple past but with an umlaut)

·         sollen à sollte ( no umlaut)

§  hätte/wäre  +  past participle

·         Wenn Mozart länger gelebt hätte, würde wir mehr Sinfonien von ihm haben

¨       If Mozart had lived longer, we would have more of his Symphonies 

-        hätte + past participle

Ihre Mutter hätte das nicht gewollt

- Her mother wouldn't have wanted that

Ich hätte das machen sollen

- I should have done that

§  ich wünschte, wir hätten mehr Zeit

§  Könnten Sie mir bitte helfen?  --- Wäre es möglich...

§  Er tut, als ob er die Präsident wäre

put the sub I stem on the present verb

Basically you will only use the 'er' form -- this is easily recognizable because it will look like the ich form

for the pl dat and and the genetives, there are different pronouns
