Endoplasmic Reticulum 

- Synthesizes new polypeptide chains (proteins)

-Partially attached to the the nuclear membrane

-Two regions: rough and smooth

Arranged into flattened sacs

Ribosomes on surface

Proteins synthesized on ribosomes

Assembles Lipids

- A series of interconnected tubules

- No ribosomes on surface

Golgi Bodies

-Puts finishing touches on proteins and lipisds

-Sorts and packages materials for shippment (UPS)

- Materials transported in vesicles 

-Sacs surrounded by membranes 

-Move through the cytoplasm

-Two types: Endocytic and Exocytic

-Jelly-like substance enclosed by cell membrane
