Definition
Atrovastatin
Lowers Bad cholesterol, allowing good cholesterol levels to increase.
Take one 20 mg tablet by mouth daily.
Take it as a similar time every day
May cause photosensitivity
You can take it with food
Expect and effect on cholesterol within a few days
Side effects include headache, belly pain, diarrhea, joint pain and muscle weakness
Call a doctor if there is wheezing, chest pain, fever, itching, bad cough

Definition
Used to relieve moderate to severe pain
50 mg
Tablets taken orally
Take 4-6 hours as needed but don't exceed 8 tablets/400mg
Tramadol can be taken w/ or w/o food but keep it consistent. Do not crush, chew or break it. Keeping it whole makes sure not too much of the drug gets released at one time
Should expect to feel results within an hour
Side effects: Nausea, drowsiness, constipation, dizziness, sweating
Call a doctor when: confusion, rash, abnormal weight loss
Tramadol can cause physical dependency
Do not take with alcohol sleeping meds, depressants, grapefruit juice!

Medicine is used to treat high blood pressure and prevent chest pain. It is also used after a heart attack to prevent another heart attack.
50 mg tablets Twice daily
Take with glass of water, don't crush or chew. Take with or immediately after meals
Take doses at regular intervals
DO NOT STOP TAKING SUDDENLY
Starts having an effect in 1 hour
Infinite script
Side Effects: Anxiety, nervousness, change in sex drive, dry skin, nightmares or trouble sleeping, stomach upset or diarrhea
When to call an MD: Allergic Reactions, cold or numb hands, difficulty breathing, faint, fever, irregular heartbeat, rapid weight gain

Metformin ER
Definition
Decreases the amount of sugar that the liver makes and decreasing the amount of sugar absorbed into the body. It is used to treat type II diabetes when glucose levels can't be controlled with diet and exercise alone.
500mg tablets once daily
The dosage can be increased by 500mg weekly to a maximum of 2000mg
Take with food or milk
Swallow the tablet whole
Some of the tablet may be in the stool
Drink plenty of fluids to pass more urine
Start to notice the effects within days with the max effect lasting for up to two weeks
Side Effects: Nausea, vomiting, flatulence, GAS, diarrhea
Call a doctor if there is weakness, muscle pain, GI discomfort, poor glucose control, chest discomfort
