Clinical Signs: eye or nose discharge, conjunctivitis, seizures, resp. distress, diarrhea,
Highly fatal 3-6 mths
Diagnosis: histopathology with immunohistochemistry, idolation, serum Ab testing
Zoonotic: no

Definition
Transmission: contact with contaminated feces
Clinical Signs: bloody diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration, sudden death in pups under 8wks
Diagnosis:Fecal ELISA, PCR testing, necropsy findings

Definition
Brucella canis
Transmission: veneral disease, any contact with infected genital or secretions
Clinical Signs: abortions, infertility, scrotal swelling
Diagnosis:rapid slide agglutination test, blood culture, PCR test
Zoonotic: yes but rare

Canine Monocytotopic Ehrlichosis
Definition
Ehrlichia canis
Transmission: brown dog tick
Clinical Signs: anorexia, weight loss, hemorrrhagic diathesis, stiffness and reluctance to walk
German shepherd's are predisposed.
Diagnosis: platelet count, serological testing, blood smear, blood culture, PCR testing
Zoonotic: yes but rare

Blastomyces dermatitidis
Transmission: inhaling organism or local penetration
Clinical Signs: cough, anorexia, ulcerative and exudative dermatitis, weight loss, lameness
Diagnosis:cytology, histopathology, serologic testing, urine Ag testing
