-Reprodn of sx's indicates + test for facet disfunction and/or narrowing of IVF
*if sx's stay local, indicates tissue pinch, if radiating indicates impingement on a nerve
Term
Stork Test
Definition
-Pt stands on 1 leg and extends bwd (can also add rotation to load facets on that side) -Test both sides -Increased back pain indicates + test for spoldylolisthesis on that side, loss of proprioception (if also have - trendelenburg), SI/knee/ankle instability

Term
Prone Instability Test
(1 of 2 - no PT contact, just observe)
Definition
*do this test if pt complains of "catching", or hypermobile in screening SLR: -Pt standing, have them bend over forward and come back up slowly -Instability/quivering/aberrant motion during flex/ext, and/or *gower's sign* (labored, climbing up legs) indicates + test for lumbar instability
Term
Prone Instability test (2 of 2- use table)
Definition
-Pt bends over table
-Perform PA's S1 --> up spine
-When pt complains, have them hold legs up into air
-Re-test PAs

-Reduced pain w/ legs in the air indicates + test for paraspinal weakness
