Term
How are cordials/liqueurs typically made?
Definition

They're typically made by infusing the flavor of fruits, herbs, spices and other plants with a spirit such as brandy or whiskey.

Term
Are there any requirements for cordials/liqueurs?
Definition

Since they're typically sweet these drinks typically have about 35% sugar by weight and by law in the US they must contain at least 25% sugar by weight.

Term
What could the name of a cordial/liqueur tell you about that drink?
Definition
Within the cordial category there are cremes and fruit-flavored brandies. Cremes have a high sugar content which makes them creamy. Usually the name of a cordial/liqueur indicates what it tastes like. For example, creme de banana tastes like bananas and apricot brandy tastes like apricots.
Term
Are there really only these few cordials/liqueurs listed in these flashcards?

No, there could be many more cordials/liqueurs. These flashcards simply list the most commonly used ones that are used in some of the most commonly requested drinks.
