· 1. The Holy Spirit’s super-intending over the writers so that while writing according to their own styles and personalities, the result was God’s written Word –authoritative, trustworthy, and free of error in the original autographs.
· 2. That mysterious process by which the Holy Spirit worked with human authors, without destroying the writers’ individual styles and personalities, giving guidance in such a way as to produce the divinely infallible and authoritative writings which include only the 66 books commonly recognized to be in canon of scripture.
