Beta one receptor stimulation (1)

• Increase force of contraction
• Increase heart rate
• Increase cardiac output
• Increase systolic presssure

Beta one receptor Stimulation (2)

• Increase release of renin from J-G cells of the kidney
• Increase formation of angiotensin II
  • Production of angiotensin II (which takes a while to be produced) will lead to delayed:
    • Contraction of vascular smooth muscle
    • Increase peripheral resistance
    • Increased systolic and diastolic pressure

Beta two receptor stimulation

• Relaxation of vascular smooth muscle in certain vascular beds (skeletal muscle)
• Decrease in peripheral resistance
• Decrease in systolic and diastolic pressure

M2 receptor stimulation

• Decrease rate and force of cardiac contraction
• Decrease cardiac output
• Decrease systolic pressure

M3 receptors stimulation

• Relaxation of vascular smooth muscle
• Decrease in peripheral resistance
• Decrease in systolic and diastolic pressure
