Definition
Indication- Allergic reactions, anaphylaxis, asthma
Contraindication- Hypertension, hypothermia, pulmonary edema, myocardial ischemia, hypovolemic shock.
Dosage- Adult mild allergic reaction and asthma 0.3-0.5mg(0.3-0.5ml of 1:1000) SC. Anaphylaxis: 0.1mg (1ml of 1:10,000) IV/IO over 5mins.
Pediatric: mild reactions and asthma 0.01mg/kg(0.01ml/kg) of 1:1000 SC.(max of 0.3ml)

Indication- Altered level of consciousness when hypoglycemia is suspected. May be used as inotropic agent in beta blocker overdose.
Contraindication- Hyperglycemia, hypersensitivity
Dosage- Hypoglycemia Adult 0.5-1mg IM;repeat 7-10min
Pediatric- Hypoglycemia 0.5-1mg(for children <20kg)

Indication- Acute angina pectoris, ischemic chest pain, hypertension, CHF, Pulmonary edema
Contra- hypotension, hypovolemia, intracranial bleeding or head injury, previous administration of viagra or similar within past 24-36 hours.
Dose- 0.3-0.4 Mg Sl Max 3 doses.

Indication- Moderate to severe pain, anxiety, apprehension.
Contra- Impaired loc, head injury, inability to comply, decompression sickness, undiagnosed abdominal pain, hypotension, shock, copd, cyanosis, chest trauma with pneumothorax.
Dose- Adult Inhale deeply through demand valve and mask or mouth piece

Indications- Opiate overdose, CNS and respiratory depression induced by opioids.
Contraindication- Use with caution with narcotic dependent patients, and neonates of narcotic addicted mothers.
Dosage- Adult 0.4-2.0mg iv, min recommended dose 2.0mg;repeat at 5min intervals to a max dose of 10mg. (IV,intranasal)
