Definition
Haymarket riot, 1886= terrified the nation’s upperclass who feared that revolution was at hand. “Were not animals, we need time to educate ourselves and take care of our families just like everyone else (upperclass).” Labor unions violated the employees, and management could care less. Employers developed “Black List” employers would make list of people who gave “trouble” and told others not to hire.
