Definition
Cuban Missile Crisis was the closest to brink of war for Soviet Union and U.S. Fidel Castro was a revolutionary in Cuba that seized U.S. owned property in Cuba and limited Cuba's operations. He became influenced by Soviets and U.S. feared this and cut off exports and imports to and from Cuba. Anti-Castros landed in bay of pigs and attempted to rebel against Castro's movement. U.S. never came for back up and lost its prestige. In the end, the missiles were never fired.
