Definition

President Truman's policy aimed at providing Greece and Turkey with economic/military aid to prevent them from being swallowed by the "red mist"

Aim was stated to be supporting free people from external governmental rule (invasion), but really was created to prevent greece/turkey from becoming a communist stronghold furthering the spread of the "red mist" which would have "grave consequences"

(NORTH ATLANTIC TREATY ORGANIZATION): Group of nations aimed at world peace and security. Nations teamed up to protect well being of "the world". Very important because It unified many fragmented nations into a world crime fighting super power.

1948 truman doctrine step child created to provide monetary support to crippled European nations/economies. Created to prevent the spread of communism to post WWII destroyed Nations. U.S. feared that in the crippled state the "red mist" would expand it's realm of power. $16 billion spent over 4 years to help build markets for exports/ fortify broken nations.

Communist leader of Chinese revolution. Responsible for overthrowing republic of china (ROC/lead by Chiang Kai-sheck) and pushing ROC to Taiwan. Mao formed the peoples republic of china (basically a nice way of saying you are "red mist" suckas). Mao was the "democratic dictatorship" of the CPC. Although he was communist he did shift china from a farmer city to a industrial night mare.

Definition
American lawyer, government official, author, and lecture that was a significant case of communist spy's infiltrating american government/politics. Case fueled fear of communist spy's and gave more validity/power to HUAC.

Definition
exploited first eruption of cold war tensions. Truman doctrine, marshal plan, and the london conference (resulting in formation of economically stimulated west germany), fueled soviet union to block of all land/rail routes to wester sections. In the end MERICA prevailed and Stalin lifted the blockade. Stalin wanted to have all of germany as a stronghold, allied forces saw him as a ass wipe spreading his crap everywhere and fought for germany.

Definition
(House on UN-american activities). Created to investigate un-American (communist) and subversive (james bond shit) activities. Many saw HUAC as a method of blocking progressive policies advocated by FDR. McCarthy had no direct involvement with the committee. HUAC was frowned upon because it had great deal of power (blacklist people). Alger Hiss put HUAC on the map. All the liberals hated it

Definition
Republican senator for Wisconsin. Became figure head for anti-communist beliefs. Made claims that large numbers of communist/soviet spies and sympathizers existed in the US government and elsewhere. Made outlandish claims without substantial evidence which led to censorship by the U.S senate. Notorious for "McCarthyism" which stood for manic anti communist activities. He was the kryptonite of the U.S. red scare.

Felt that American higher education was too strict and single minded which isolated any patterns of resistance to education just being for disciplinary research, removing chances of true research (out of the box thinking. Education system and society promoted conformity which limited intelligence and ability to see/understand stuff from different aspects. (i hate these stupid fuzzy writers)

Definition
JFK was amazing president with perfect family/life alike camelot (one of his favorite songs themed about that/loved knights of the round table as kid). View that Kennedy was hero of history. His wife said "there'll be great presidents again...but there'll never be another camelot" Many people skeptic of myth because he died with much of his presidency (ability to judge his rule) left. Appeared a hero to the public but had struggles hidden from public eye.

CUBAN MISSILE CRISIS
Definition
confrontation between the U.S. and the soviet Union in 1962 during the cold war. The soviets built nuclear missile bases in cuba in response to allied missile bases in UK, Italy, and Turkey. It was a mexican stand off with f'ing nuclear missile bases. We want them to get rid of their guns, and they wanted us to do the same. Was settled for Merica agreeing for public declaration/agreement to never invade cuba and to dismantle all the rockets on both sides.
