Definition
the townspeople wre marching throught the streets in protest of British troops (red coats) stationed in their city.  The soldiers panicked and called for backup.  The townspeople threw stones and shells at soldiers and knocked one out, so the other soldiers opened fire, five colonists were killed that day including Crispus Attucks.
