TAADS (The Army Authorization Documentation System)
Definition
Documents which authorize personnel and/or equipment. There are 4 types: CTA, TDA, TOE, and MTOE.

Definition
an authorization document for items of material required for common usage by individuals for Army-wide use

TOE (Table of Organization and Equipment)
Definition
baseline for all type units; prescribes the normal mission, organizational structure and personnel and equipment requirements for a military unit, and is the basis for an authorizations document.

Definition
specific to deployable units; prescribes in a single document the modification of a basic table of organization and equipment necessary to adapt it to the needs of a specific unit or type of unit.

Definition
generally non-deployable units; A table which prescribes the organization structure, personnel, and equipment authorizations, and requirements of a military unit to perform a specific mission for which there is no appropriate TOE.

It includes equipment affixed and built into the facility as an integral part of the facility (such as heating systems), but not movable equipment (such as plant equipment).

Definition
The obligation of a commander to ensure that all Government property within his or her command is properly used and cared for, and that proper custody and safekeeping of Government property are provided.
Command responsibility is inherent in command and cannot be delegated.

Supervisory responsibility
Definition
Obligation of a supervisor to ensure that all Government property issued to, or used by, his or her subordinates is properly used and cared for, and that proper custody and safekeeping of the property are provided.
It is inherent in all supervisory positions and is not contingent upon signed receipts or responsibility statements.

Direct responsibility
Definition
Obligation of a person to ensure that all Government property for which he or she has receipted for, is properly used and cared for, and that proper custody and safekeeping are provided.
Results from assignment as an accountable officer, receipt of formal written delegation, or acceptance of the property on hand receipt from an accountable officer.
Commanders and/or supervisors will determine and assign in writing the individuals who will have direct responsibility for property.

DD Form 200. Documents the circumstances concerning the Loss, Damage, or Destruction of Government property. Mandatory when:
1 Person admits liability, and amount is more than 1 month’s base pay
2 Person does not admit negligence or liability
3 Loss discovered during an inventory and individual does not make voluntary reimbursement to the Government
4 Negligence is suspected but no one admits liability
