Free Nerve Ending - what feeling do they communicate?
Definition
Skin and connective tissues throughout the body. They communicate pain, temperature and light touch.

Nociceptors - what feeling do they communicate?
Definition
Pain
Term
(Sensory Receptors)

Sensitization - what causes it?
Definition
Nerve pathways where repetitive stimulation from poor posture, memory, emotions and other forms of stress cause them to become stuck in a hypersensitive state of alert. The long-assed trauma remains an ongoing or imminent threat. These nerve ending are a common cause of chronic pain.Tissue damage can occur w/o pain, when impaired nerves fail to communicate signals, where the damage eludes the sensors.
Term
(Sensory Receptors)

Proprioceptors - where are they and what do they communicate?
Definition
In deeper tissues like fascia, muscles, joint capsules, tendons and ligaments.
Communicate a broad range of input regarding position in space & the various loads placed on the muscular skeletal system.
