Origin:

a) The last nine or ten ribs.

b) Lumbodorsal fascia

 

Insertion: On the linea alba (midline) by a broad apopneurosis from the sternum to the pubis.

 

Action: Compresses the abdomen.

Insertion: Proximal end of the humerus. Closely associated with the tendon of the latissmus dorsi.

Origin: From the clavotrapizus and the clavicle


Insertion: Proximal end of the ulna in conjunction with the brachialis muscle of the upper arm


Action: Flexes the forearm
