Sagittal = Left to right (parasagittal)
Frontal = front to Back (coronal)
Transverse = top from bottom

(anterior/Posterior are called ventral/dorsal)
Definition
Superior = toward the head
Inferior = away from the head
Anterior = toward front of body
Posterior = toward back of body
Lateral = toward outside
Medial = toward midline
Proximal = close to attachment of limb
Distal =further from attachement of limb
Superficial = near surface
Deep = away from surface and toward the interior

dorsal = cranial (contains brain)
vertebral cavity (contains spinal cord)
ventral = Thorasic (contains heart and lungs)
Abdominal cavity = (contains digestive viscera)
Pelvic cavity = (conatins urinary bladder, reproductive organs, and retum)
