O: Transverse processes of all lumbar vertebrae and vertebral bodies of all lumbar vertebrae and the IVD's of T1-L5
I: Lesser Trochanter of the femur
Inn: Branches of L1-L3
Action: Flexes thigh at the hip joint; flexes vertebral column; bends lumbar region of vertebral column laterally.

Inn: Femoral nerve (L2, 3, 4)
Action: In conjunction with psoas major, is the most powerful flexor of the thigh(Iliopsoas group)

Costal Portion: Internal surface of lower 6 ribs and adjacent costal cartilage
Lumbar Portion: Left crus - upper two lumbar vertebral boides and intervening discs. Right crus - same as left crus plus lower disc and lumbar certebra
I: Central tendon
Inn: Phrenic Nerves L3, 4, 5)
Action - Draws Central tendon downwrd, increasing volume and decreasing pressure in thorax.
