Posterior surface has saddle-shaped articular facet for calcaneus (Calcaneocuboid joint); lies in same plane of Talonavicular and Talocalcaneonavicular joints; together form functional TRANSVERSE TARSAL or MIDTARSAL JOINT

Beak-like process at Posteromedial end of area Posterior to Peroneal ridge; extends under calcaneus and gives attachment to Short Plantar ligament (Plantar Calcaneocuboid joint)

Anterior surface divided by vertical ridge; 

Medial part is quadrangular and articulates with posterior surface of base of 4th MTLateral part is triangular (Apex LAT) and articulates w/ posterior surface of 5th MT

Oblique bony ridge on Inferior plantar surface; Lateral end known as Tuberosity of Cuboid; Divides INF surface into ANT (smaller) and POST areas

oGives attachment to deep fibers of Long Plantar ligament; superficial fibers continue distally to attach to metatarsal bases

oPass under Peroneal Sulcus and creats osteofibrous tunnel for Tendon of Fibularis Longus muscle

oArea posterior to ridge give attachment to Short Plantar ligament (Plantar Calcaneocuboid joint) and Partial Origin to Flexor Hallicus Brevis

On Lateral surface of cuboid; marks beginning of Peroneal Sulcus

Lateral end of Peroneal / Fibular Ridge; may have an oval facet for a sasamoid bones sometimes found in the Tendon of Fibularis Longus (OS PERONEUM)

·      Articular facet on medial surface of cuboid and gives attachment to Interosseous Cuneocuboid Ligament

o   Posterior / Proximal to facet there may be smaller articular facet for Navicular (If cuboideonavicular joint is synovial)
