Definition
Association of 150-173 Greek city-states under the leadership of Athens. The purpose was to continue fighting the Persian Empire. Athens's heavy handedness in the League would lead to the Peloponnesian War. It was a positive thing because it united the city-states, it got Athens rebuilt, it made the Greeks strong against the Persians.
