Explain the Pueblo Revolt:
Definition
The Pueblo Revolt was a revolt against the Spanish. Pueblo, Apache, and Navajo peoples joined in the fight. Reasons for the Pueblo Revolt were that Spanish peoples were taking over N. A.'s lands and villages, and enslaving them. The leader of the revolt was Pope. The Spanish were driven out of New Mexico for about 12 yrs. (1680-1692) They came back once Pope died since the N.A.'s weren't as united.[image]

Definition
Pontiac's Rebellion was when the Native American's resisted English settlement in their land, and it led to war.  A later made Proclamation of 1763 states that, "Settlers may not settle west of the Appalachian Mountains. Right then, tensions started to grow between English colonists and the British government.
