Ramopril is another ACE-I- it is better penetrating, called a tissue-ACE-I. Pt gets angioedema (swelling of face areas)> take off ACE-I. Put them on ARB= sartans, 2 sartans for heart failure in place of ACE-I: Candesartan and Valsartan (KNOW THESE TWO), still at higher risk for angioedema but worth the risk b/c so effective against heart failure.
