- glenohumeral add, abd, flx, ext, ir and er

- elbow flx and ext - forearm sup and pron

- loss of wrist flex, ext and dev - finger and thumb flx and ext

- finger and thumb abd and add - little finger and thumb opp

- sensory: to the dorsal and palmar surfaces of the hand

- sensory to the med and lat aspects of the arm and forearm. 

- not affected: DSN (C5) - upr trunk, lat and post cord.

- mc, median, radial and axillary nerve only partially affected. 

no weakness scapular elevation and retraction

**Notice that movements of the glenohumeral joint, elbow, forearm, wrist and hand are

mainly involved as is sensation to the arm, forearm and hand.

Definition

 -affect: C7, C8 and T1: serratus ant 

- mid and inf trunk the lat, post and med cords

- the mc, median, radial and ulnar nerves. 

partially affect: lat cord, post cord, mc, median, and radial nerve.

- The med cord and the ulnar nerve will be affected totally.

weakness: scap dep, elbow flex, ext, forearm sup and pronation

- wrist flex, ext and dev

- Marked weakness or loss of finger and thumb flex, ext and thumb abd

- loss of finger abd and add - loss of thumb add and Dig 5 and 1 opp

- sensory: to the dorsal and palmar surfaces of the hand except for the thumb

- sensory: to the med aspect of the arm and forearm

not affect: dorsal scap (C5), upr trunk (C5, C6) - the axillary n. (C5, C6 only)

- or sensation to the dorsum and palmar surfaces of the thumb (C6).

-no weakness: scap protraction, elevation and retraction

- glenohumeral abd, add, flex, ext, ir and er

**Note that movements of the elbow, forearm, wrist and hand are mainly involved as is sensation to the medial side of the upper extremity and hand.

weakness in scap dep, glenohumeral add and ir

- elbow ext; forearm pron; wrist flex, ext & dev

- finger and thumb ext - thumb abd and opp.

- loss of Dig 5 flex, abd, and opp - finger add and abd - thumb add

- sensory on the med side of the forearm and arm

sensory: dorsal and palmar aspects of dig 5 and ulnar half of the dig 4

**Note that movements of the hand and

sensation to the ulnar side of the hand and medial forearm are involved

Definition

- affect: mainly movements of the finger and thumb

affect part of the median and unlar ns

- sensory along the med aspect of the arm.

- weakness in finger ext - thumb flex, abd and opp dig 5 flex, abd and opp

- marked weakness or loss in thumb add - finger add and abd.

**Notice that movements in the hand produced by intrinsic muscles innervated by the ulnar nerve are mainly involved.
