The Renaissance
Definition
A cultural movement that spanned roughly from the 14th century to the 17th century, beginning in Florence and spreading throughout the rest of Europe in the late Middle Ages. Although the Renaissance is well known for revolutions in intellectual pursuits as well as political and social upheaval, it is best known for its artistic developments and the contributions of genius artist such as Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo.
