| What is the functional relation between the lymphatic system and the cardiovascular system? |
|
Definition
| Lymphatic capillaries pick up the leaked fluid that is lost in the transfer of arterial capillaries to the venous end of capillaries. These capilaries converge to form lymphatic collecting vessels, which converge to form lymphatic trunks which lead to ducts which return this fluid back to the cardiovascular system through one of two large ducts in the thoracic region. |
